The Democrats chose the president's favorite Adam Schiff to kick things off today.

Schiff spoke for two and a half hours and made a very persuasive case.

He had visual aids and everything.

It was a real abuse of PowerPoint presentation.

He laid out a ton of evidence against the president.

Much of it sound bites of Trump himself and he invoked the founding fathers in their

words a lot.

Schiff quoted Hamilton so many times today he was nominated for five Tony Awards.

Which is funny.

So they're hoping that little visual aids and stuff like that made a better impression,

I guess?

Yeah.

Well, I'd heard one account from somebody in the gallery that it was really interesting.

The senators were kind of sitting there milling around, one had his head on his desk, but

every time they showed a video, they really perked up and watched that.

I'm thinking it's just like third graders.

It's like children.

Yeah.

So I'm reading the book The Impeters, which is about the impeachment of Andrew Johnson.

He was the president after Lincoln, Lincoln's shot and Johnson becomes president.

What?
