All right now it is NBA trade deadline day and across the NBA we've got you covered at

locked on with the latest in all of the madness that has already begun to ensue.

I'm Kyle and Mills and right now it's time to take a look at the blockbuster trade that really

kicked all of this off I am joined by Nick Angstead host of both locked on

NBA do some of that he hosts locked on Mabs and that's what we're here to talk

about right now is Kyrie Irving, officially a Dallas

Maverick. I mean that one really blew my mind. I wasn't ready for it. I didn't see it coming. What were your

initial reactions and what do you think now that you've had some time to you know really

marinate on this.

My initial reaction was flabbergastion.

Is that a word?

Can I use that word?

I was flabbergasted.

I could not believe that they made that deal. The Dallas Mavericks knew that they needed to get another star next to Luca. Ever since he was a rookie, they tried with the Chrysophorsingus trade. They tried to clear cap space for Janus and de Kumpo. They tried to find ways to get another star and this

season they lost J. Le Brunson. He was gonna if they re-signed him he was

going to be the player like the young player that they use as bait to trade for a star player and so they missed out on that situation he didn't resign because of that whole thing they knew even in the Western Conference finals run last year they knew they still needed another star, even how good J.

Ljalen Brunson was throughout the run. They were going to use him in a trade.

That's why he didn't resign, essentially. And so now the Mavericks are like,

all right, we have less assets, but we still need to go find a star that's

available and cheaper than some other stars would. In walks Kyrie Irving

with all of the off-the-court situations, all of the different problems that have happened

between him and Brooklyn,
