Welcome to Literally With Me. The Great Ron Howard and his brother Clint Howard who

has written his spectacular book about their childhood. They're my guest Ron Howard. I mean,

should be on the Mount Rushmore of show business from being one of the great child actors on

Andy Griffith's show to Happy Days, Richard Cunningham, and then directing everything from DaVinci

Code Apollo 13, Backdraft, Parenthood, Splash. I mean, Frost Nixon, Cacoon, Willow. I mean, it goes on

and on and on, creating one of the great production companies with Brian Grazer called Imagine.

And Clint having just such an amazing life with gentle Ben when he was like eight years old.

Anyway, I could not be more excited to dig in with these two guys who I've known peripherally

for many, many, many years. So, stand by. Ron Howard, Clint Howard.

First of all, the book is great. I read it in one sitting. Oh, thank you. Thank you.

It's great to talk to you and see you via Zoom. And it's fun to be the Howard Brothers. I mean,

we always has been, and part of the excitement right in the book was actually that we knew there

was going to be this little period of time where we'd be forced to be together and hang and talk.

So here we are. I mean, you know, next thing is I think you guys have to have a band.

You know, like if it's good enough for the bacon brothers, wasn't it good enough for Howard Brothers?

Might have something to do with vocal capabilities. And also simple tastes in music.
