understanding time. Like my chronology is really, really screwed up and I'm having a difficult time sort of like, I don't know,

0:36.0

recognizing how much time has passed. I sometimes get feedback that I don't talk to you guys

0:41.6

enough about what's going on in my life because of course this is a show where I interview people so even though sometimes I'll interject with things that feel relevant I don't want to take too much time away from the guest and from the book that they're promoting or the really cool work that they do in the sciences.

1:43.0

It's the first time I was ever admitted to a hospital.

1:45.0

I definitely felt woozy after.

1:47.0

I woke up pretty quickly and was kind of with it pretty quickly

1:50.0

so they were able to take me out of recovery

1:52.0

and back to my room relatively fast.

1:55.0

But definitely was chomping on those ice chips, you know,

2:00.0

I hadn't eaten or drink or had anything to drink in hours and my mouth was quite dry but I also felt like I was going to puke so I had to take it easy the first couple days and yeah I was pretty woozy pretty out of it couldn't watch TV, it was just in and out of sleep and pretty uncomfortable.

2:16.0

And then slowly but surely I started to regain my strength.

2:19.0
