I'm going to bring you on a dream Hawaiian hike that absolutely turned into a nightmare

when an anesthesiologist by the name of Dr. Gerhardt

Koenig attacks his wife allegedly attempts to kill her during this hike and what started out as

a romantic celebration kind of ends with a rock to the head and a syringe full of a lethal drug.

I've got all the details for you today.

So let's get into it.

And I'm going to tell you if you have not heard a little bit about this story, this Hawaiian doctor, you haven't been on the internet. It is everywhere.

It got me really curious as to what happened in this case. And when I tell you, I deep dug into

this one over about a 72 hour time period, you better believe it. And I learned a lot of things.

So we're going to start off at the beginning of this one, where it all starts.

And that is where Dr. Gerhardt Koenig was born and when.

He was born in 1978 in South Africa to his parents, Peter and Anwar Koenig. Now, he was the third child and the third boy for the

couple. They would have a daughter, a younger sister for Gerhardt, come along later in life,

but he was the third boy and the baby as of some point in his life anyway. And the Cunning's did well for themselves

in South Africa. His dad was a pharmacist. His mother was a homemaker, three boys at home right,

with a daughter coming anytime now. And we all know that's more work than you could ever do in a

pharmacy. And his mother was just killing it being a

homemaker his dad being the primary breadwinner now in ninth grade at 14 years old the family

they wanted to move to the united states they do and they settle in san diego california now

his father he works in the States doing the same thing he did

in South Africa. He's a pharmacist. And his mother, she starts running a daycare out of the home.
