Before we dive into the war for Alexandria, I'm about to go against my standard method of operation and announce in advance the names of just over a dozen giants of history that I have written standalone episodes for over the last year

in anticipation of this point in time.

And what's so special about this point in time? Well I'm glad you asked. I just launched the next

phase in the evolution of the podcast. Just a few days ago at the beginning of

February I released the first of what will be all new extra episodes

that get published on a monthly basis through the podcast Patreon page. These new shows will be released under the title

Giants of History stories and all patrons of the show who pledge five dollars a month

or more to the production of the podcast will be

given exclusive access to Giants of History stories through a separate feed.

Now these shows will be standalone episodes meaning they won't be part of a larger series,

and they will explore singular stories from the lives of historical figures as well as transformative

events in the history of our world.

So let me give you a quick preview of some of the subjects and stories that we'll be exploring in these new episodes.

And let me say here that this is a short list of who you can expect,

and this is in no particular order.

So just to give you an idea,

we have Winston Churchill and the Battle of Britain. We have Queen Elizabeth the First and the Spanish armada. We have episodes on Ernest Hemingway, Napoleon, Oscar Wild, Shakespeare, Frederick Douglas, Alexander Hamilton, Mussolini, Catherine the Great, Albert

Einstein, Thomas Edison, Sacagawea, and it is Sacagawiya, it's not Sakajuia.

We have John F. Kennedy, we have Benjamin Franklin, and on and on the list goes, and I may, just

may, even sprinkle in some stories from more recent

giants of history.

And I don't want to name names there, but I might experiment with a few down the road

...
