If you didn't bring a Bible with you this evening, hold your hand up real high. The ushers have

extra Bibles. Be glad to let you use one of ours. And let's all go to Acts, the 24th chapter.

In Acts 24, Paul said this by the Spirit, verse 16.

He said, herein do I exercise myself.

Now, exercise means you've got to put out some effort.

Something we have to do.

I exercise myself to what?

To have always, or to always have a conscience that is

void of offense. This and other scriptures is where we get the idea of a clear or clean conscience.

A conscience that is void or without offense toward God and toward man.

So he said, I'm exercising, and I do this all the time.

To keep myself with a completely clear and clean

conscience between me and God and between me and people.

And we've already covered a lot of ground into seeing why this is so significant.

This is not just a nice idea. This is necessary. If you're going to hear from

God, if you're going to have faith, if you're going to be led by the spirit, you're going to have

miracles in your life, it is vital.

You could understand if it wasn't important, he wouldn't exercise his self all the time for this to be so in his life.

And I'm convinced that not enough has been said about this in the church.

You've got so many folks in the church.

Good people love God, born again, but they don't know that they're supposed to pay attention to their conscience.

They don't understand how vitally important it is that they never ignore their conscience are overrided.
