Coach All right. It's finally happening. The first of five. We're calling it clear eyes, full hearts, podcast. We're waiting for Pete's lazy ass to finally finish Friday night lights. And thank you, Pete. It's happened. You did it. I finished it a while ago. You did. And then we decided instead of just doing an episode about Friday Night Lights because... Way too much. Right. We were like, all right, we have to do something magnificent. So we got John Fidelberg and Jeff Israel, probably the two biggest Friday Night Lights people, I know at least. And this is

going to be chaotic and amazing. I don't think there's like literally anybody on Earth who likes

Friday Night Lights more than the four people in this room. Right. Yeah. So I saw Jeff at a Bruins game

after we decided to do it. And we had like an 11 minute conversation about Friday Night Lights

when I had like maybe one minute to chat with them.

And I like the dynamic that we have because I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I was so late because I just watched it this year and it's what the 10th anniversary this year, which is pretty nice excuse to be doing this.

But I watched it for the first time this year.

Did you guys watch it live?

I watched season one.

So Bill Simmons was actually recommending it.

And I walked into a Best Buy right after it aired.

And the DVD literally said on it, season one, if you don't like this, you can return it to NBC and get your money back.

And I was like, okay, I'm in. Watch that and then I watched the rest in real time.

I think I did. I caught up on like the first three maybe and then real time after that.

I went when I was in the heat of it, when I was, it was when like before like Hulu or Netflix or anything like that, so I was doing everything on NBC.com had them all. And I didn't go to school. I was in college. I didn't go to college for like two weeks. That's, and like dead serious. I just stayed up all hours of the night just watching hours and hours and hours of Friday Night Lights.

See, I'm like Pete. I was, I mean, Pete, we told you to watch it. And you were like, I remember hearing your responses to it is exactly the way that I would say it. Like my family, everyone I know was like, you would love Friday Night Lights, watch it. And I was like, I know, I know I'll love I just shut the fuck up for a minute

And then when I watched it

Which was like

Within the last year, year and a half, I was like, oh, holy shit. Like the first thing I did as soon as I finished Friday Night Lights was watch Friday Night Lights from the beginning again. I started again. Yeah. Yeah. So I've told the story, but like I tried to watch the show like three or four times.

I watched the first episode and I just didn't continue.

Yeah.
