Ezekiel chapter 40 verse 1 in the 25th year of our exile at the beginning of the year,

on the 10th day of the month, in the 14th year after the city was struck down.

On that very day, the hand of the Lord was upon me and he brought me to the city.

I just want to meditate with you for a moment and then pray according to this phrase,

the hand of the Lord was upon me.

Like what a powerful picture that we see all throughout the Bible in different times

on different people, the hand of the Lord upon someone.

Now, there are times when we see God's hand upon someone in judgment,

but actually most of the time that we see this phrase,

we see God's hand upon someone in a special way blessing them,

leading them, guiding them, speaking to them like we see here in Ezekiel.

And judgment is oftentimes a picture of God taking his hand off of someone,

basically giving someone over to themselves or giving an entire group of people or nation

over to themselves.

It just makes me think, is I go into today?

Is you go into today, tomorrow, in our lives?

Isn't this like the one thing we most want and need?

Don't we want and need the hand of the Lord upon us?

Once you want that in your life today, his hand blessing you, leading you, guiding you,

directing you, anointing you.

And even as I say that, I think about Jesus' promise to all who trust in him,
