We have Joe Biden addressing the nation on a FEMA and the federal response to Hurricane

Ian. That is underway as we speak to you.

Nothing particularly noteworthy about this.

It's expected the president would given the scale of the emergency, the natural disaster

that is still unfolding across the state of Florida that Biden is just talking about

resources that will be deployed and coordination from the federal government side, discussing

even how the federal government will kick in money for those whose insurance policies

don't fully cover the damage to their homes.

Going into some details about that, but pledging full federal support to Florida.

One part that seemed a little bit strange under the circumstances, or I guess it makes sense,

given Joe Biden's rhetoric on this issue is he is essentially warning gas companies not to

raise prices right now.

I suppose warning against Hurricane profiteering by them, but at the same time, he says that this is

his experts telling him what the price of gas should be.

And we've been discussing Biden doesn't seem to really understand the oil and gas industry at all.

And certainly takes an almost AOC like line on how these are greedy corporations and the gas

stations themselves, the ones rising, raising prices. But other than that, it was largely what
