Summary

Vigilante classic film, Death Wish, is becoming a reality again in New York City. Buck's dad's memories of graffiti- and crime-filled '70s New York City is alive again today. Woke-liberal Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg has downgraded over half of felony cases to misdemeanors. The tech elite strike back: Apple has mostly stopped advertising on Twitter. Apple has also threatened to withhold Twitter from its App Store. Most journalists prefer old Twitter rules, which penalize conservatives. Buck said today, "Twitter is more fun than it's ever been... I've added thousands and thousands of people in the last 30 to 40 days."

We talk about movies a fair amount on the show.

And there's one that comes to mind a little bit these days when I'm seeing

0:13.0

I was just up in up in New York with family and so I was in Midtown where I

0:17.4

spend most of my time. I was in the I Hearts Do You There and then

0:21.6

walking around the streets. Very crowded. A lot of tourists on the streets these

0:24.7

days, which is good to see, but also people a bit anxious

0:28.8

concerns out there about how safe it is. Certainly about how safe it is on the

0:32.4

subway, which makes perfect sense, given the realities

0:38.2

of the New York City subway. But I mentioned, and I'll get into that in a

0:41.0

second, I mentioned movies, you know, Clay, there was this movie back in 1974.

0:46.4

I used to watch all the action movies, right? If it was an action movie made in

0:50.6

the 70s, 80s or the 90s, I was pretty much on board. So I celebrated not

0:55.4

just Schwarzenegger and Stallone, the two greats of the genre,

1:01.9

but even Dolph Lungren, Van Dam, Charles Bronson. I mean, go down the list like

1:06.7

Chuck Norris, obviously, I can't name them all right now, but I saw them all,

1:10.1

man. And I saw the ones with numerals after the movie titles where it was

1:15.3

not exactly a critical or audience hit. I just kept seeing all these different

1:19.4

action movies. Death Wish came out in 1974. Death Wish was about

1:25.0

it was Charles Bronson movie. It did well. And there were, there were five,

1:30.9

five of them. And then they made a remake in 2018. But it was about a decaying

1:36.0

unsafe New York City where this guy in architect living in New York City has
