We are down in the great state of Texas.

This week they are celebrating Texan independence,

which I believe is Mark.

I'm going to be angry at me for not knowing this 100%.

Indeed. Going back to 1836, which was the year of the Alamo.

We are here at KTRH in Houston.

You ever been to the Alamo before, Buck?

I have not actually.

I was a nerd as a kid.

It's probably not going to surprise people listening right now.

And one of the things that I was obsessed with was the Alamo.

So when I was six years old, I went to San Antonio, Texas.

What I wanted to do for my birthday, my dad took me to the Alamo.

And if you haven't ever been before in San Antonio's an incredible town,

but if you haven't ever been before, the Alamo is just right in the middle of San Antonio.

And you have this idea if you've watched the movies, if you've obviously paid attention,

that there's going to be some massive pasture of land all around it because of the way

the battle was fought back in the day, right smack dab in the center of San Antonio.
