Welcome to today's edition of the Clay Travis and Bucks Xtons Show Podcast.

On the United States Capitol. There's not going to be any surprises out of this. I don't think it's likely that there'll be anything last-minute

introduced that we don't already know about all of it. It is to my tremendous disappointment that there were just

enough people and just enough key states who thought that defending democracy was a reason to cast their vote for a Democrat governor or

Senator who is a lunatic leftist. But anyway, there were just enough of them to do that that the red wave was blunted. It is honestly shameful that that's what

occurred, but it did happen. And now we sit and we have the Capitol riot committee. They call it the ins- it's so interesting on language again. So much is determined. So much can be

discerned. If you use the term insurrection and seriousness, you're a lib and you hate Donald Trump. If you use the term riot, you're a center right from the

center all the way over to the right who understands reality and knows the difference between an insurrection and people getting to

rowdy breaking glass and acting in an unruly and illegal fashion. But while the song and dance that we're watching right now, the

pomp and circumstance and ceremony isn't going to affect the midterm election anymore because we're past that. There's a big question that remains outstanding from all this.

They've already gotten the value of dredging up this story as much as they can of inflating it as much as they can as well, making it seem like this is the most

important thing as we have what is it 80% now people living paycheck to paycheck. I saw some report about that over the weekend. You know, how many Americans could even handle a $500

emergency for their car for their health if one came up. What's really going to happen with the economy next year? Why are the streets less safe? Why are there more

criminally insane people wandering around every major American city? Why is the border the worst it's ever been? You have all these things going on. And none of that gets addressed by the

Democrats instead it's all about the insurrection, the riot, the whatever you want to call it. And as we know it's a riot and I were fused to take out of the conversation that the

Democrats are the riot party still when they're unhappy about something riots. When there are when they felt like it was in their interests, the

Democrat party overall was supportive of not a day, but months of riots meant to intimidate the population in an election year. We were

already suffering through the misery of COVID lockdowns because of BLM, a movement that only managed to make everything worse for everyone. That's

what BLM did more crime, more murders, more despair, more destruction. That is the legacy of the Black Lives Matter movement in America. Just

look at the data, look at the numbers. But no, no, instead we have lectures from Democrats about the need to defend our democracy. The same people who also try to soft

coup against President Trump with the just most absurd lie that there was Russia collusion to steal the 2016 election. There's no they have no sense of irony or

honor. Democrats don't care that anybody paying attention would understand that they lied about the 2016 election and then did the very things that they said they
