Friday edition of the Clay Travis and Bucks Xt and Show is underway, my friends.

Thank you so much for hanging with us. I know for a lot of you, this is one of these times where

some of you are probably about to leave the office or close to, it depends on where you are in the

country. It's lunchtime here on the East Coast so people are thinking, how do I get going

in for my Independence Day weekend. We've got a lot to talk about with regard to the Biden

administration, the price of gas, the price of food, what are they saying about it? More fallout

from the EPA decision, we'll get to all that, but we're going to kick back, relax and really just let

a weekend independence day weekend holiday vibes start to kick in here on Clay and Bucks because

I, first of all, it's one of my favorite holidays. It's a great holiday, celebrating the most amazing

country in the history of the world. And one of the things I think will be a recurring theme today.

Can I say one of the most amazing? I mean, to say the most amazing country in the history of the

world, I think that's what I said. One thing we could get into a little bit today is that,

well, things are tough right now because the people in charge are making bad decisions.

And I know the economy is rough and I do think the economy is going to get rougher. So

I'm not sitting here telling you anything about how, oh, next week, it's all going to turn around

or something like that. But here's my, my basic thesis. I had thought I had actually had the concern

after Biden ascended to the presidency that this country would bounce back. I underestimated

the madness of the lives, which is hard because I think they're pretty nuts. But I thought the

country would bounce back just because the end of the pandemic, everyone would realize it was all

crap. It was all absurd. The lockdowns, the mandates, all this was totally worse than worthless

because it had no upside benefit and tremendous downside. And that we would go into a period of
