The Russian stock market is closed today.

That is not a good sign.

It is because of the extreme volatility in that stock market as sanctions have begun to take

a bite out of the Russian economic situation.

The ruble is down 20% today.

They over doubled interest rates overnight from around 9% to 20% in Russia.
