Why for the guy go out kick studios with the big story I would say that is out there right now as we come up on the mid part of the

week I would say there are two really big stories one the giants have decided that they are going to bench Eli Manning in favor of Daniel Jones

potentially bringing to a close the Eli Manning era in New York forever we I say potentially because so many quarterbacks have been getting hurt.

It would be perfectly par for the course if Daniel Jones came in got injured and Eli Manning went right back in almost immediately because a quarter roughly of quarterbacks that have started

the game so far in the NFL have ended up getting knocked out of games with significant injuries so that is at least potentially the end of Eli Manning's career he is 38 years old

will he be the kind of guy who will stand on the sideline and hold the clipboard and be a backup for a couple of years I don't see it.

And I actually believe that Eli Manning is the most disrespected quarterback in the history of the NFL and I'll get to that and why that is in a moment but the other major story which we are tracking here as Wednesday morning begins is Jalen Ramsey and whether or not he will be traded from the Jacksonville Jaguars today it would have to be today and I would think it would have to be in the early part of today because it's a little bit awkward but tomorrow the

Jags host the Tennessee Titans so you can't imagine that they're going to trade him on the start of the day on Thursday and so I would think if they are going to get it done this week this morning would be the time that that news would come out and it would officially be underway we'll talk about which teams maybe make the most sense for Jalen Ramsey to me the choice is pretty straightforward and simple if I'm the Kansas City Chiefs I get this deal done because if I'm the chiefs I'm looking

around right now in the AFC and I don't think it's crazy so long as Patrick Mahomes stays healthy and so long as Tom Brady stays healthy that the chiefs in the Patriots are a notch above everybody else in the AFC and I think we are headed head on to a match up between the chiefs and the Patriots beyond a shadow of a doubt and if that is going to happen what is the area where the chiefs are weakest and potentially where the Patriots are strongest

if you presume Antonio Brown is going to be able to play for the Patriots at least by the postseason if you presume that Josh Gordon is going to stay out of trouble

and Julian Edelman is there and maybe possibly out there in the in the universe Rob Grinkowski decides to come back but either way you've got three really big time receivers for Tom Brady to throw to

don't you need people in your secondary if you are Kansas City to upgrade the overall quality of your defense I think the answer is yes and even though the price may well be steep for the chiefs

why not go ahead and get this deal done while you can because you can contend for a championship this year plus you go ahead and see if you can get a long term deal worked out for Jalen Ramsey

and you have a captain of your defense to put alongside a Patrick Mahomes who you know is the captain of the offense I think that makes a ton of sense if anybody's going to give a substantial offer for Jalen Ramsey right now I think it needs to be a team that thinks they are a star player away from being a Super Bowl champion or major Super Bowl contender and this could be what gets the chiefs over the finish line
