We are in the zone here maybe the kind of zone that the cabs and the warriors are in as the warriors last night swept for the second straight series to a beat down of the Utah Jazz they won by around 26 points I believe the Warriors now have averaged a 16 and a half point victory in their eight games so far.

A lot of you probably did not watch at all a lot of you may have done what I did watch the first quarter see that the Warriors are up 22 and click the remote and turn it off and go watch something else I am curious.

Is the NBA broken.

I don't heard anybody asking this question and I think obviously once you get to the NBA finals themselves and the cabs and the Warriors are sitting there and I understand if you are a wizards fan or you are a Celtics fan or your rockets fan or you're sitting around there and you're a spurs fan and you think that one of those four teams is going to give a run in the finals or two of those four teams or whichever team it is you're a fan of the NBA finals.

You're a fan of those teams and they're tied up to two and those series may well go seven games but it's a little bit like two guys fighting in the dungeon to figure out who's going to get it's

at the by the guillotine in the middle of the French revolution because that's how dominant the cabs and the Warriors are right now and we've now played whatever it's had a month of the NBA postseason so far and unfortunately I think in some level we may be headed for not even that competitive of the finals.

I think the Warriors are a lot better than the cabs and the NBA is incredibly fortunate and I've said this on the show several times but I think there's no doubt at all the NBA is incredibly fortunate that LeBron and the cabs came back from that three one deficit because Dremont Green was suspended because if the Warriors had closed out the cabs in game five like I think most people anticipate where going to happen and the Warriors had won that series four one and they had beaten the cabs two straight finals.

And they had added Kevin Durant the NBA trajectory in the NBA storylines would be a lot different it wouldn't be anything about can the cabs beat the Warriors again it would be one long laments about how good the Warriors have become.

And I've been saying this for a long time and I would love to hear from old school NBA fan long time NBA fan I think this is a disaster for the NBA.

The way that the season is shaking out the way that the postseason is shaking out because the vast majority of you come in and watch the NBA playoffs in the postseason and other than gambling I have no idea why anybody would be watching the first two rounds of the NBA playoffs other than gambling or your favorite team.

The team is still in the mix which is obviously a reason to always watch.

It's been awful and I continue to say this and it becomes more true every round.

The NBA playoffs the only postseason in sports with a substantial audience where no teams have really have a chance to win other than a couple of the good ones.

You look at the NFL you look at the major league baseball you look at the NHL certainly where the Nashville predators are sitting there in the Western conference finals as the eight seed the worst team to make the playoffs from the West.

You look at college football even though it only has four teams make the playoffs you look at the NCAA tournament.

There are six sports that people care about a great deal in this country.

Five of them have an outstanding postseason with anybody potentially going to be able to win the sixth is the NBA and it got me thinking last night as I was watching the Warriors dominate and go up 24 in the first quarter and be up 22 at the end of the first quarter.

The one positive is everybody could go to bed early I guess if you wanted to just see the outcome and then you want to go to bed.

But remember how David Stern I think it was David Stern back up when he was still commissioner did not allow the jazz at the time I think they were the jazz no not the jazz at the time they were still the they weren't the pelicans yet they were still the hornets I believe they didn't allow Chris Paul to be traded to the Lakers and that kind of changed everything about the NBA for a little while right because if the Lakers had gotten Chris Paul they would have been a lot better they wouldn't be able to do that.

Maybe the worst one of the worst teams in the NBA right now maybe they be steeped in mediocrity maybe they would have been able to persuade other people to come join them.
