The Young Earth Creation Movement claims that the Bible and science show that the world

is only a little over 6000 years old.

In the first of two debates we heard from a leading UK young earther who claimed that

the rock and fossil record were laid down by the flood of Noah and a paleontologist who

argued that science is clear that they were laid down over millions of years of evolutionary

history.

The young earther in question was Andy McIntosh, professor of thermodynamics and combustion

theory at the University of Leeds.

He's a leading British young earth creationist and he debated with Robert Asher, a paleontologist

at the Museum of Suology in Cambridge and the author of Evolution and Belief, the

Confessions of a Religious Paleontologist.

This was a classic debate and you'll hear a part two as well when it comes to evolution
