Richard Bauckham’s book ‘Jesus and the Eyewitnesses’ has been heralded as a paradigm shift in the way the authorship of the Gospels should be seen. Bauckham argues that the Gospels are based on eyewitness accounts and should be regarded as fundamentally trustworthy.
