Hello welcome back to another classic replay from the archives is unbelievable.

I'm Justin Browley and while this was classic replay takes us back to something admittedly

pretty grim it stirred up a very heated debate back in 2013 when in the USA

Kermit Gosnell was being tried on counts of murdering children born alive in a legal late term abortions.

Well Dr Trevor Stammers is a Christian former GP who refused to personally refer women for abortion.

Dr Evan Harris is a former Liberal Democrat MP and atheist who believes that women should have the choice to terminate their pregnancy.

Well they discussed the gospel case along with telegraph journalist Timothy Stanley one of the first in the UK to report the case in the mainstream press after claims of a so-called media blackout around the Kermit Gosnell story.

They also discussed the case of Savita Halapanava in Ireland who died from a miscarriage after being refused in abortion as well as the current abortion law in the UK.

So just be aware this is a sensitive topic and the issues being discussed are of course of a of an adult nature just a warning as we get into today's podcast.

So let's go back to 2013 in today's classic replay.

Yes and today's discussion topic is abortion a very emotive issue and one that we always get matters amounts of feedback on every time that we cover it.

But so recent cases especially in the US of Kermit Gosnell who's being tried on counts of murder of babies born in late term abortions has certainly brought the whole issue to the fore again recently and of course there have been issues over here in the UK of late not least the case of Savita Halapanava in Ireland where her widow claims that she would still be alive if she had been allowed an abortion she died because of a miscarriage.

And there's been various other stories and perhaps will bring some of them that have made the news over the last year or so.

So I thought time to address this subject again and two medical doctors join me to discuss the issue today.

Dr Trevor Stamm, as I mentioned earlier, is part of unbelievable conference this year.

He's on the show today as a practicing GP he refused to refer women for abortion.

Part of the Christian medical fellowship he believes abortion law in the UK isn't being enforced properly so we'll find out why he believes that in a moment's time.

Dr Evan Harris is the former Liberal Democrat MP.

He is one who believes that women should have the choice about what to do with their body and with pregnancy and very much a leading secular voice in the UK.
