Well in light of the recent upheaval in the Church of England and its debates about how

to handle same-sex attraction, I thought maybe time to bring this one out from the archives

from 2013. It was a special radio feature titled A Different Kind of Coming Out.

So we meet three evangelical church leaders who talked about their struggles with same-sex attraction

and why they decided to choose celibacy or being post gay.

And in this edition of Unbelievable it was followed by a studio discussion between Anglican Blogger,

Peter Old and Savvy Hensman of the Lesbian and Gay Christian movement in light of that documentary program.

I sat down with three evangelical church leaders who are going public about their sexuality.

Well, settle back and listen to why they've decided to speak out.

For several years the debate over homosexuality and gay marriage in the Church has been intensifying.

The evangelical church has recently seen major figures such as Steve Chalk adopting a gay affirming view

and Paul suggests that within a generation attitudes on the issue have changed dramatically.

But some new voices have recently joined the discussion bringing a unique perspective to the debate.

I'm Justin Brale and I recently met with Sean Doherty, Sam Aubrey and Ed Shaw.

All three are evangelical church leaders who experience same-sex attraction.

But all three are either celibate or describe themselves as post gay.

All three see the Bible's prohibition on same-sex relationships as non-negotiable.

But want to tell the wider world that it doesn't mean God is anti-gay.

They're doing it by bringing their own stories out into the open.
