Ask Me Anything feature. Normally I field questions from the audience about the various projects I am or have been involved in, but this time I just want to stick to one subject people have been asking me about and to pay tribute to someone special we've just lost.

The iconocastic filmmaker Larry Cohen, whose films include It's Alive, God Told Me Toe, the stuff, and a long list of others. I first met Larry in

1976 when I was interviewing him about God told me to, a movie that blew me away when I first saw it in the theaters

for a magazine called Cineophantastic. At the time he was editing the private files of

J Edgar Hoover in a little cutting room in Hollywood. the and we became friends. Larry was funny, brilliant, incredibly knowledgeable about film history, passionate, and definitely one of a kind.

The last film he directed was Pick Me Up from a script by David Scow for my Masters of Horror Series, and it was one of his best.

In recent years, we've lost far too many of the genre community, Romero, Hooper, Craven, and many more.

And the very least I can do here is to pay tribute to them and extend my appreciation and

that of the entire horror community for their amazing and trailblazer. and that
