Jerome Clark and I became acquainted as teenagers following UFOs in the early 1960s.

Now, he's gone a lot further in the UFO field than I have and in other fields in which he's involved.

But I think the way for you listeners who have him follow his work

would best understand what he does would be to go through his progression

of interest in the ufo field and where

his theories where his speculations have moved

so jerry welcome to the show dav David and I are pleased as punch that you've

decided to join us. And, you know, I haven't talked to you in 40 years, so this is something

very special for me too. You know, it's not special for you.

It's been a long time. Yeah, I think the last time I was actually living in Minnesota.

Right.

And we had a discussion about different things, but how did you get attracted to the UFO mystery, the UFO field?

Well, the experience gave me a great appreciation for the effect that a book can have on an impressionable young mind.

I was interested in science fiction when I was a kid when I was about 10 years old.

I read all the science fiction I could get hold of.

I don't read anymore.

In fact, I can barely stand to read a science fiction book anymore.

But in those days, as the saying goes, the golden age of science fiction was when you were

13.

And I joined the science fiction book club and you got like four books for joining.

And I chose three science fiction titles and they had one nonfiction title on the list,
