You know, as we're recording this episode, there's a story on the wires about a problem to the computer system that processes flight plans.

Of course, it messes up the entire air traffic control center system around the U.S.

Of course, we all remember the movie Day the Earth Stood Still.

Now, I'm not talking about the remake with Cana Reeves that I'm worried about.

I'm talking about the original one with Michael Rennie, where the aliens were able to stop

all electricity around the world, except where such things as airborne traffic or hospitals.

So the aliens were maybe part being nice, except, of course, they also threatened to destroy

the Earth.

But the point of it being that the aliens in that movie had the power to disrupt things

on Earth.

And that takes us to a book, recent book out from Robert Hastings called

UFOs and Nukes, Extraordinary Encounters at Nuclear Weapons Sites. Now, there's some pretty

frightening aspects of this encounter that we're going to go into on this episode. So stay with us.

How did you get attracted to the UFO mystery and get involved in this kind of research?
