Let's talk a little bit about, first of all, why you're over there, what's going on, and sort of the temperature of the environment, like what's happening there to make you not really want to reveal your identity today.

Yeah, so we, we, my family and I, we are missionaries in northern Mozambique.

We've been here for several years now, and our goal is to work alongside the established churches that are here, to help train up leaders and then send them out to begin new work in places where there are not yet churches and not yet believers.

And so, I mean, that's in broad terms.

That's what we're doing here.

Now that takes all different kinds of forms over here from

teaching english to teaching farming techniques to uh doing bible studies um all kinds of things so

um that's basically what my family uh and i are doing over here um things are a little tricky right

now there is some some unrest due to some

religious extremism that's happening north of us from where we are living. And it has just

gotten worse and worse over the last two years or so, just things are getting more violence.

So I want to talk with you about being a missionary for a moment

because your life is essentially the exact opposite of mine, right?

You were trying to bring more people to Christ

than I'm actively trying to talk people out of their faith.

And so I like that we can have a discussion about our positions and about our angles in a respectful way.

I want to ask you.

I can appreciate that.

I mean, to me, if you have this guiding philosophy in your life that you believe

is true, I mean, whether I disagree with someone or not, I have a respect for those who do their

best to, in a respectful, kind way to try to convince other people to the truth of their position.
