For the first time in 70 years a monarch will be crowned in the UK with the coronation of King Charles.

But the big question for us is who's going to be crowned the winners of the 2000 and the 1000 guineas at Newmarket.

0:56.0

The first classics of the season are upon us and Aiden O'Brien is sure to have a big say no trainer in the history of racing has won more British classics than the master of Balli Doyle.

1:06.0

39 British classics to his name already and easy going to be able to land some more he's 110 2000 guineas more than any other trainer in history.

1:15.8

71,000 guineas and he's done the double four times as you just heard foot steps in the sand and Virginia Waters in 2005.

1:22.8

Kamalaus and Homecoming Queen in 2012 Churchill and Winter in 2017 Magna Grisha and Hermosa in 2019.

1:30.8

He's got August Rodin and Little Big Bear to go to war with in the 2000 guineas and the breeders cup and Royal Ascot heroine meditation and never ending story winner of the Irish 1000 guineas trial.

1:42.8

That leopard's down on her season reappearance it is going to be a cracking weekend to break it all down.

1:48.8

I'm Emma Kennedy joined as always on Thursdays by Tom forms Mark Milligan Mark as you look at the 2000 guineas picture and it's difficult to assess how good these horses can be when this is their first race of the season.

2:00.8

But what is the feel given the fact that you've an extensive background as a two year old handicap or for time for what's your overall feel for the class of this year's two classics beginning with the 2000 guineas.

2:11.8

I think the overall feel that I get is that we're looking at a potentially above average group of three year olds this year which hasn't always been the case as it over the last couple of years.

2:24.8

It's obviously the the Bali Doyle height machine has gone into overdrive about August Rodin and is potential to be a triple crown winner obviously be quite appropriate because the first leg of the triple crown on coronation weekend and little big bear who was the best two year old on figures that we saw last season without a doubt.

2:53.8

I think to stretch his stamina out to a mile we've also got Chaldean who we spoke about didn't we.

3:02.8

Not so long ago and he's a new breed the back all with Frankie that's already heading out the side door we've also got that there's more depth here than just those three isn't that we've got.

3:14.8

Here from Roger variance yard who looks a really really good two year old and a potentially above average three year old a good one two punch from Charlie Applebee and indestructible who took the who took the main trial for this race the Craven so I think we've got real that for this year's 2000 guineas and I'd be hopeful that we're going to see an above average winner.

3:39.8

Hopefully that's going to be case certainly the top end of the market looks quite exciting you can see assuming that people are still blindly following the sport and the animal rights protestors haven't got into their heads and turned them all against as a gamble developing on Royal Scotsman just because of the name.

3:55.8

But in terms of August Rodin I'm not entirely certain about this whole triple crown thing and cue him absolutely destroying his rivals in the 2000 guineas now but that question and the way it was

4:07.8

phrased to him was. Is there a horse in the art who can win the triple crown and the only one that realistically could do that is August Rodin little big bear isn't going to stay a mile four.
