When the sun finally shines on the west end of Glasgow.

We should have known that this was going to be an absolute

Bosker of an interview, but we didn't.

We knew beforehand.

Neil and Martin and I selected Charlie Nicholas because we were convinced that this was a guy very famous now for Soccer Saturday who'd been a footballer of tremendous creativity and quality showing some of the skill and cheekiness

and ambition that used to characterize the Scottish game and doesn't anymore. He talks with love about football because like me he still

head over heels in love with the beauty of this game. If you've come out of this podcast interview without thinking more about Charlie as a man of football,

One of the best most enjoyable interviews I've ever been lucky enough to have. I'm glad Danny's been talked about in that way because as well as wanting to talk to the audience in this podcast

about you beyond your television personality because for younger people

Yeah, they see you as a star of soccer Saturday.

And it's good to talk about Danny and explain to people, not just the footballer, but the man too.
