Like Luke mentioned, we have been in a collection of talks called The Art of Joy.

We've been taking time to study the book of Philippians and I heard today,

over thousands of people have downloaded our online journal.

And it's amazing to know that as a church is a body that we're taking time to go

through a book of the Bible to pause and to hear what God would say.

The book of Philippians, it's a short book. It's about four chapters long.

You could probably read the whole thing before I end my sermon.

But it's just a short letter that Paul wrote to the church that he started in the

Philippi and it's really interesting to know the position that Paul was in as he writes this letter.

He's writing this letter from prison, but the content of the letter he's talking about joy.

He's talking about contentment that he is encouraging these body, this body of believers

and he's telling them how they can live with joy.

And given his circumstance, you think that he might talk about something different.

But what he does is he invites the church at Philippi to imitate him.

He invites them to learn from him, to learn what he has learned.
