Growing up in a home where your dad is a professor means that class is always in session.

Now, he's not, he's a, he's a, I have, yes, I have my doctor, but I want you to know he's a smarty, smarty.

He has two PhDs, like in the sciences, like the sticky stuff.

So when you got two PhDs, that means that not only classes in session, but every single day is a lesson.

And one of the most memorable ones is the one of him teaching me to ride a bike.

Now, when I say that, you might pan to a movie S scene where there's a flat road.

A little girl with a helmet on because safety matters.

Elbow pads, knee pads.

The whole fit would be there, right?

And then you would see the proximity of that dad next to his daughter,

hand on the seat right there, letting her get a couple of pedal strokes in before the gentle push.

The success, she rode a bike.

You would not be seeing how I learned to ride a bike.

The road, in fact, was not flat.

We actually walked a flat road to get to a hill.

Now, if you visited said hill today,

something in the 20, probably 30 years has changed in the topography. But you can guarantee

it is still true. There was not a flat road. It was definitely graded upward.

I don't have a helmet on my head.

I don't have elbow pads.
