Hey guys welcome back to Dadville. This is this is John and we're really glad to hear our

our guest today is one of our longest friends we both have known Ben Rector for a really long time. We talk about that in the

podcast kind of getting when we each met him. I mean he was a young buck. I mean for

both of us we met him when he was in college. Well and and I met him, which we talk about in the interview,

I met him before I remember meeting him.

Yeah, I mean, it was that truly.

Was he in, he was in college?

Yeah, yeah.

But Ben, you know, I'm sure you guys know his music. He is so

insanely talented. One of the things that John and I were just saying before we

started recording about this interview was really funny is Ben is by far. If you look at everything in Ben's life like his

music and his personality he is so succinct like Ben has a way of

consolidating his thoughts and songs and lyrics and music into very succinct clear-cut ideas.

And you know, interviewing him is so funny because one, he's got got you'll hear he's like he has a way of saying

the most effective thing the quick it's a he's a Tom Petty of conversation you know

he's like he's really good It's just sort of saying,

It's the opposite of me.

I was going to say, literally, John.

Give me. The way that you and I are the same is, we're going to talk for the same amount of time.

Now where we differ is the amount of words that we say, but I'm still going to take all the time.

That is amazing.

The thing that makes me jealous about Ben is that he will, he will say his answer in about five seconds after I just gave my 15 minute answer and his is like yes that's a better answer
