All right quick Yankee point because I was thinking about this last night the Clark Smith stuff is obviously bad it's bad for him and it sucks

Clark Smith's been pitching wonderful this season

Sean was correct about a preseason prediction in which he said hey I think Clark Smith could be a top of the rotation

and he was pitching like it. Obviously this Yankee rotation has been rock, rock solid.

So he's got this lad issue. My initial reaction, unfortunately was accurate, which is,

bro, this is going to be a couple of months it's a lot issue now

Aaron Boone has already confirmed four to six weeks of not throwing and usually

the way this works is you kind of have to add those weeks of not throwing into then

building yourself back up.

So if you're out for four weeks, you're probably out for eight weeks.

So this is a lat strain.

This is a lat tightness.

No, that's a strain. That's what I thought it was. Yeah.

flat tightness which is something you can massage out, you can stretch out,

eventually you'll be okay. Yeah. But this is a strain. Yeah.

If he's gonna miss a month plus or a month without throwing and then probably two months.

Yeah I think you're looking at two months which takes you now until August.

That's what you're looking at.

Look, I'm not telling you this is a good thing.

I don't want you to not hear the part where I say this sucks.

This sucks for Clark Schmidt more than anybody and it sucks for the Yankees.

Clark's been pitching great. It's never good to lose a good player.
