And gosh, it feels like the all government hour on the Clark Howard Show because you

get another issue where government is weighing in is you're in mind lack of privacy online.

So California has adopted a new data privacy law in response to all the issues that came

up with Facebook taking your personal information, looking the other way and allowing it to

be manipulated and used for so many different reasons and purposes.

So California's law, which phases in over the next two years, will actually give you

as a consumer the ability to opt out of having your personal information shared at all.

And it gives you the ability to prohibit your personal information from being sold.

And that's the most general terms of the law.

It has more specifics to it.

But this idea of your information, your personal information being available whenever and

wherever is something that can be so dangerous.
