Gosh, that sounds like a scam, doesn't it? It's not. It's coming up in just 30.

I want to tell you something that's great happening in the hotel business.

When I read an item about this on Market Watch, I was thinking, wow, this is so true it's been happening in my own life.

Historically, if you book a hotel when you're on the road or you're on a vacation or you're going somewhere for work,

you've tended to go with a well-known and respected national brand name, a chain, Hilton, Hayet, Marriott.

I don't know, Courtyard, Hilton Garden Inn, whatever, whatever, whatever.

And you have your go-to and you feel comfortable going there.

You haven't had disappointments or as holiday, I would say no surprises.

But today more than has been true in three generations.

Independent hotels are doing quite well. Those are hotels that don't have a well-known recognized brand name on the building.

And I was thinking through when I read this, how often now I stay at an independent?

And it's because I book hotels based on star level and review.

And many times, no matter where you travel in the United States or if you travel overseas,
