Coming up in 20 minutes, today's Carcragious Moment, a Ponzi scheme stole millions from people promising that you are going to make money scalping tickets to popular events.

0:36.0

Wait till you hear how this one unfolded and who actually got scalped. And coming up a half hour from now, you look at signs and on packages, all the warning labels.

0:51.0

Do they make any difference to you? Do you even see them? I got some interesting info for you about how warning labels now are almost like noise in your life.

1:04.0

I want you to know that when you go on the web, when you surf, when you use apps, there's so much spying going on you, on about you.

1:18.0

I read a story recently about something that has caused calls to me here on the show where people want to know how could you go to a website looking at an item you're considering buying and you either just leave that site or you abandon your cart where you put that item in it.

1:37.0

And then potentially for days, ads follow you for that item no matter what website you're going to or anything like that. It's such a creep out factor, right?

1:49.0

But what you don't know is something I want you to be aware of. And that is some of the most popular destinations on the web continually collect data on you and use that data to build deep profile.

2:06.0

Deep profiles on you for all different purposes. Google is the one that has gotten the most attention. And if you don't remember me saying this before you didn't hear it, Google now has a very easy procedure for you to see what information they have on you.

2:29.0

And to give you the ability to limit what is kept on you or what is collected about you. And it is a very simple easy to use dashboard. And you can see the link at Clark dot com, including the new dashboard from Microsoft, Microsoft collects tremendous amounts of data on you.

2:56.0

And although it doesn't give as much control to you as the Google one does, you can see what they're collecting. And you can give them your preferences as to what they're continuing to keep and package and sell and use about you.

3:19.0

And there are so many examples of this. The Alexa devices, the echo that so many people bought, hey, Alexa, what's the weather today? That kind of thing. You can't even begin to fathom how much data Amazon is collecting. And I'll just tell you this and use your own imagination.

3:39.0

People are pulling Alexa's out of their bedrooms who have them in there because of what Alexa may be hearing going on and what you think is the privacy of your own bedroom.

3:52.0

And there's now a procedure for you to be able to delete a lot of the stuff that Amazon is collecting on you. So I know this is all like extra steps for you.

4:07.0

And I know people that are extreme on privacy say I told you so I told you so that's why I don't use a cell phone. That's why I don't use the internet. That's why I don't do this use credit cards or anything else.

4:21.0

So if it's important to you to go completely off the grid, you have to live an analog life. You have to go back to about 1985 to live an analog life.

4:36.0

But if you value your privacy that much, you have to take those extreme kind of steps and eliminate any plastic in your life, any web in your life, even having a feature cell phone in your life.

4:52.0

But if you don't want to go back to 1985 and at the same time you value your privacy, there's some work involved for you to have a layer of protection and I'll help you through that process every time I can where there's a relatively easy procedure for you to get your privacy back under control.
