Before we get started today, two things.

One, I just want to give you a quick update last week, listeners will recall, we had on Nova Spivak, who is the brains behind the lunar library.

And then just a few hours before we put up the pod,

and a couple of days after I had spoken to Nova,

the Lunar Lander crashed.

And since then, the Ark Mission Foundation,

which Nova runs and which funded the Lunar Library,

has said that they actually think that the library, which is 30 million pages of human knowledge and history on 25 little

nanodiscs, is either fully or partially intact. So they've brought together this team of

experts in an effort to find it wherever it may be on the moon's surface.

And they reckon that it's within a few kilometers of the landing zone.

So for all you amateur space cadets out there, crank up your telescopes.

It could be up there.

So anyhow, I just want to give you an update on that.

There was a crash landing, but they think maybe all is not lost in that the billion year backup of humanity may actually
