0:29.9	Today, as I talked about a little bit earlier this week, we have a special lecturer here.
0:37.0	Dr. Jeff Kindard, you may have a class with him.
0:40.0	He is the chair of our history and political science program here at Guilford Technical Community College.
0:47.0	What you may not know about Dr. Kynard is that he is a military historian.
0:52.4	He's an expert in military history. He is published at least four books
0:58.3	on anything from weaponry, weaponry from the Civil War, Revolutionary War. He collects a host
1:05.2	of artifacts, which he has brought and will share with us today. He is a PhD, earned his doctorate from Texas Christian
1:14.2	University in Fort Worth, Texas. What year was that now? It was a while ago, but he's an expert,
1:22.6	so if you get an opportunity to take a class with and take a class. So we are going to continue to discuss the
1:28.7	Civil War. Thankfully for Dr. Kynard, we get to look at the aspect of weaponry and its impact
