When you open the Pandora's box of like,

we can legislate anything now.

We can, we can subject even the most primal

and foundational aspects of our existence

to some kind of curious popular sovereignty,

where, well, if our sacred democracy says

that, you know, past age 75,

you're going to be turned into a sort of nutrient paste

for younger Americans, then by God,

we will turn you into paste.

It's our, you know, the voters have spoken.

So that's not super shocking.

And, you know, especially in Wisconsin,

I mean, you look practically next door in South Dakota

and you see this is sort of like where big trends

has really gotten its tentacles just around, you know,

the fundamental institutional infrastructure

of that state.

So red America is not really as red as people might think

in some cases.
