The other thing I felt while I was watching this movie is some kind of draw toward vegetarianism.

Like it's hard to watch this movie and look at these cows. Look at Norman. And then

think like, I'm going to sit down for a big bloody steak. That sounds great.

Hello, everybody. Welcome back to the Baldwin Press of Beach podcast. Today, we are really hitting, at least me in the nostalgic fields.

You're a Gen Xer or an elder millennial. You probably have fond memories of this movie as well.

It is 1991 City Slicker. It's the 35th anniversary of this comedy classic that provided the late great Jack Palance,

one of the most feared movie, bad guys, villains of all time, with his first and only Oscar win.

And the fallout of that was delightful and kind of cemented his place as, you know, kind of childhood villains slash anti-heroes.

I'm excited to watch this movie.

I haven't seen this movie in 20 plus years.

And I was, what I took away from it largely is like this is a movie about our father

this is a dad movie but not a movie about us dad it's a movie about our dad's dads

I guess if you're a gin alpha or a zoomer that's talking about your grandparents.

And I found it really interesting to view it through that light.

And also the movie's still funny.
