Mets are playing an afternoon game. They have a five-run lead. That's the good news.

The bad news is they need to get nine outs out of their bullpen.

And if they can get those nine outs without giving up five runs,

the New York Mets would sweep a three game

series of the Washington Nationals and begin this homestant on a very positive

note because then they welcome in the Colorado Rockies over the weekend.

By the way, if you guys watched the series against the pirates or the series against

DC when they were in DC, you notice something that's always been on my mind.

The Nationals and the Pirates and also the Brewers

have a race.

And I don't mean the subway race that they have a Yankee stadium

where they put it on the computer screen.

They actually had people dressed up as characters and they race.

I'm sure a lot of people familiar with this.

Yes.

In DC, it's the President's race.

They've got George Washington, Thomas Jefferson,

Teddy Roosevelt, and Abe Lincoln, and they race each other and it's comedic and whatnot.

I never understood the joke because they always make fun of Teddy.

Meanwhile, Teddy was the best athlete of the bunch.

So, I mean, Teddy played football. Yeah, he was a rough rider. Was he Michigan?
