Patrick Cheever started early. When he was about seven years old his dad brought home a moped

which to Patrick was the dream machine. He rode the wheels off that moped, racking up mile after mile, riding back and forth in the driveway and around his yard.

That sealed it.

Patrick was in love with riding motorcycles.

And so continued, riding, fixing, buying, selling, until something happened, not to him, but to people close to him.

And what happened made him sort of questioned mortality and the safety of him riding a motorcycle.

So he walked away.

He walked away from the internal combustion engine and began riding a mountain bike because it was

safer or was it in hindsight he never really let the

motorcycle go this is a story about falling in love with motorcycles, then walking away from motorcycles,

and finally returning back to the motorcycle.
