That's a lot of money to pay for a TV station.

Yeah, media landscape in Indianapolis changing, isn't it?

$83 million deal.

This is, like, wild.

Yeah.

That the folks who own Wish TV, who is our news gathering partner,

have announced that they have purchased WRTV 6, which is the ABC affiliate.

It has been for, I think, my entire life here in Indianapolis for a staggering $83 million.

Strategic investment, it looks like, because with WRTV, now Circle City is going to gain access to all the ABC programming,

which includes the NBA, WNBA, and some college football broadcasts.

You know, it's fascinating.

Now, I'm very excited because I just expect to see our friend Phil Sanchez on all the newscasts all the time now.

He's the anchor for Wish TV.

And now we can just see him simulcast on ABC.

And I look forward to just all fill all the time on all my television channels.

Yeah.

But it's fascinating because when I was a kid growing up until what, I don't know, maybe it's 10 years ago.

I can't remember how long had been.

Wish TV was the CBS affiliate.

And then ultimately they ended up flipping over to was TTV 4 when I was a kid,

Channel 4, CBS 4 as it's called now, which is owned by the same people on Fox 59.
