Hi, this is Deborah Messing. I'm an actress and social justice advocate. I am

Andana Deani, creator and co-founder of the nonpartisan movement I am a voter.

So Mondana and I are best friends and activism is a huge part of our lives and who we are.

We're constantly inspired by the incredible work people are doing every day all over the world.

And then one day we realize something.

Most of these people had no intention of becoming heroes. They're just accidental activists who knew something was not okay and chose to do something about it.

In this podcast, we share the journeys of 20 of these

I dissent slogan, a dissenter is someone who stood up to an injustice or

challenge the status quo, someone who fought to build a better way.

This week we speak with our incredible friend, Cindy Ecker.

Cindy is an entrepreneur pioneering sexual wellness

who builds and sold two pharmaceutical companies

for more than $1.5 billion, including the first ever FDA-approved drug for low sexual desire and women.

She also founded the Pink Ceiling, or Pinkubator, which invests in companies founded by or delivering products for women.
