Let's talk about Cinderella.

Put those earbuds back in, it's a lot more complicated than you think.

Trust is trust is on this.

For instance, just to show you how complicated it is, there are two origin stories to this.

The first is Egyptian, back in 500 BC, and it was an oral story, but the most accepted

first version is Chinese, the Chinese story of Ye Shen written down in 850 AD.

So let's just place the Ye Shen and Cinderella in history.

850 AD was the Tang Dynasty of China, it was considered the golden age of China.

In Europe, it was considered the medieval Europe, Charlemagne had just died, gunpowder

was invented in China, and our personal favorite legend has it that coffee was discovered

as a beverage in Ethiopia, about 850 AD.

Let's talk about the different two versions, Egyptian version, long long ago, back in the

days of Pharaoh, although that's an extensive period of time.

So let's go back to about 550 BC, and a little girl is playing by the side of the ocean,

and along comes some pirates, and take her away from her Greek parents.
