Today, the Cincinnati Bengals, I should say Tuesday, the Cincinnati Bengals cut down to 53 players

on their roster.

This is the initial cut down.

And the caveat for all of these conversations, James, as your hand mask has dropped from your face,

is that it's not going to be the final roster.

The 53 man is going to change between now and week one.

It might even change between now and the time you listen to this podcast.

Almost certainly we'll see roster moves happen on Wednesday,

but we're going to start with the surprises. We'll go position by position after that, talk about

the roster composition in its initial form, and then we'll talk about some guys who were

cut by other teams and maybe some other moves that could follow between now and week

one against the Minnesota Vikings. But before we get to those surprises, James, let's hit

on some injury notes. The questions that we had about will they go on the 53 and then to IR or

IR to 53 for guys like Joseph O'Sai and Hakeemad Dennergy were answered

and Joseph O'Sai officially now done for the season he goes to the injured reserve before the

cut down to 53 he will not return in 2021 that is incredibly unfortunate but we'll look forward

to his full recovery and hope for
