So this week, Adam, you ran a post in sensible medicine,

dare I say, a renegade post where the author Sally Sightel dared defend. So what happened?

So I think Medscape had a educational forum or video and that video was about the use of tobacco products. In the video, one of the

claims is that e-cigarettes are, you know, not as bad as real cigarettes, which I think is probably

true. But the problem with this was the funder is, what, Philip Morris, the funder is the

tobacco industry. And it's interesting to me because I think we have so many things in medicine funded by

pharma and people have, and that's considered acceptable, but funding by tobacco is considered

taboo.

And so MedScape had to bury the video and they hit it.

But Sally comes out in defense of it and she says that, you know, look, there was a firewall

between us and the funder.

And ultimately, is this any different than pharma funding, the New England Journal's
