how what's happened here is a reflection of the kind of thing Peter is talking about in these final verses of the book.

Okay, friends, 1st Peter 5, 12 through 14.

This is Peter's conclusion. It's actually like a little bit of administrative work at the end,

where he's saying hello to specific people. And it was very common in their day for letters to end this way. He says, By Silvanus, a faithful brother as I regard him, I have written briefly to you,

exhorting and declaring that this is the true grace of God.
