Well, we're starting a new series today, and Titus comes after Paul's letters to Timothy.

Pastor Job, will you just give us a minute on why this is included in the year where we're focusing on Godly manhood?

Yeah, very simply from the beginning of the year all the way up to Palm Sunday, we're studying 1st Timothy and Titus, two of the pastoral epistles. And essentially,

because Paul is doing the thing that we're trying to do here at the church, to raise up men to be

godly men, to lead at church, at home, and everywhere they are. And so I thought it would be a good idea just to study these letters where a mature man in the faith, Paul,

raises up a couple of younger men to be mature men in the faith in their local churches.

And we have a special guest with us today, Pastor Todd Hickokx.

Paul's writing and says, he's writing for the sake of God's elect.

And that phrase stood out to me.

So what does that mean when he

says that as the introduction of this short letter? Well, that he's writing to the church. And so this is

to encourage the faith of the people that God has placed his love upon, given them the gift of
