Hey everybody, welcome to Conversations with John and Lisa and we're excited to be with you because we're going to continue today our conversation with Pastor Craig Rochelle of Life Church.

0:18.0

Yeah, it was just too rich. We couldn't take it all in one. We had to do two. I didn't want to stop it. It was so, so good.

0:24.0

But before we actually move into that, I just want to thank all of you for being a part of the family of conversations with John and Lisa and just encourage you to please rate, review and subscribe to the show.

0:38.0

That helps the message get that much further. We have just passed 8 million downloads, which is mind blowing to me. And Lisa, when you do a review, you subscribe.

0:50.0

You might get your testimony read on conversations and you're going to do that first.

0:54.0

Yeah, and this might be my favorite one I've ever seen. This is from baby 89, which right there. I love it. She said, what can I say about the baviors? I first saw the minister in my church last year and was so impressed by the ministry.

The moment Lisa announced she was Sicilian, I realized she was a spiritual godmother. I didn't know I needed. She's got the hand motions here. She said, I am one fourth Italian, one fourth Sicilian. I downloaded Messenger X and shared it with my family and friends.

And we have gone through so many courses. I listen to the bait of Satan, which changed my life. I'm a millennial and I cannot even put into words how you both and your family have helped me with battles of insecurity, confusion and help me overcome hurt and unforgiveness.

1:45.0

I love what you do. Keep helping my generation. We need it. Isn't that beautiful? Yes, from the Sicilian baby. I love that. Well, welcome to the family. We love you being a part of it. And you know, what I really love Lisa is that baby is sharing these courses with her friends. True discipleship happens in small groups. It's so important that you do that.

2:06.0

And so what we're going to do now is we're going to jump right back into the conversation with Craig Rouschell.

2:15.0

Do you believe every single believer should be a leader? 100% beyond a shout of a doubt. I believe that every and this isn't my quote. I don't know who said it max washed somebody, but what is leadership leadership is influence and everyone has influence.

2:29.0

So a leader doesn't mean that you're a boss. It doesn't mean that you have a title. A leader means that you that you can change someone's life that you can influence them.

2:39.0

Parents should have influence. A spouse should have influence. A friend should have influence. First down the job. You should be able to influence people when you show up. And so I think everybody should see themselves as a leader.

2:51.0

If you're a Christian, what should we be? We should be leading people to Jesus, your salt, your light, your ambassador. 100%. I believe that every believer should see themselves as leaders.

3:01.0

That was a question. I knew the answer to, but I wanted people to hear it. Here's another question. I want people to experience your book. Winning the war in the mind. Can you tell a little bit about that?

3:13.0

Yeah, so this book was born out of really just kind of a lot of personal work on my own mindset. And I mean, we know that we know the mind is incredibly powerful.

3:24.0

And the more I studied scripture in the Bible says so much about the power of the mind. And then the more I learned about how God created the mind, what we call the science of the mind, it was just fascinating to me.

3:36.0

And I kind of merged those two studies together to say, okay, here's what's, you know, scripture says, you know, we're actually renewing the mind and the way God created is we're creating new neural pathways.

3:46.0

And so what I did is I really did a lot of work with a counselor in defining where I had kind of like wrong thought processes in my mind.

3:58.0

And we all have them. We grow up with limited views with thinking things that are true. They're not true. And what I did is I recognize I got a lot of things that I believe are not true.

4:09.0

And so I worked really, really hard on renewing my mind, rewiring my brain and wrote the book to help other people do it. And I knew it could be helpful, but I was just shocked at how many people said, you know, my life is moving in the direction of my strongest thoughts.

4:26.0

And I don't like where my thoughts are taking me. So the book is really thankfully helping a lot of people.
