With a

culture from a Christian worldview, I'm John Stone Street with the point. On February 9, a church in Regina, Saskatchewan was burned by an arsonist.

The video posted by the Christian Emergency Alliance showed a mass man pouring gasoline on the front steps before igniting it.

The arsonist has not made a statement since his arrest, so it's not clear what his motives were.

However, given Canada's recent history, it's likely that this was another in a long line of

attacks on churches. Even worse is the government's response to these attacks, which has been

underwhelming to say the least. Eerily similar to how attacks against pro-life pregnancy centers have been handled

on this side of the border, it seems that some state officials believe only some hate crimes

are worth rebuking.

However, when those who have the power and the call to protect don't call out all violence,

at least with the same enthusiasm as they do other violence, well that only encourages more violence.
