Okay guys kind of a special episode of the Weekside Podcast on Wednesday and one of my

favorite kinds of special episodes we've been lucky enough to have some of these

before where my co-host

the wonderful Jenny Rentis has a big story on SI.com something that's super

impactful in the NFL world and something that I think entered our collective conscious and then sort of left when you know

COVID came and all these other things that we've been have been rightfully grabbing our attention

but I would direct you guys it's our daily cover story

we're recording this on Wednesday at around 2 o'clock in the afternoon is

called Church and Saints how much did the Saints help the church on its sex abuse scandal?

I don't know if it, you know, this is one of those things that, you know, the AP story comes out.

We hear some of the allegations that the Saints are providing, you know, public relations assistance or whatever it is for the Catholic Church

And then that just sort goes away but Jenny spent all this time digging into it produced a

Fantastic piece that's well worth your time and really kind of digs into a little bit of New Orleans as a whole the Catholic city their relationship to the football team so it's wonderfully done definitely read it and Jenny I guess my

first question to you is I don't know what was the reporting process like for this and

for people who are kind of still getting caught up here, set the stage

for us a little bit.
